Insta360 accessories — sticks, mounts and cases
The camera handles the picture; the accessory handles where it sits. The invisible stick holds it in mid-air and vanishes from the shot, a mount attaches it to a helmet, handlebars or a flat surface, and a case takes it underwater. Three different jobs — you choose by what you film, not by price.

Invisible selfie sticks
Why the stick does not show in the footage
A 360° camera has two lenses facing opposite directions, and the footage is made by stitching those two frames together. The invisible selfie stick is built to fall exactly along that seam — it is thin and sits in the blind spot between the lenses, so the camera simply has nothing to see it with. What is left in the finished footage is a camera floating in mid-air.
This is not a software trick or something erased in editing. That is why it works in real time and leaves no smudge or trace where the stick was.

85 or 114 cm — how to choose
Both sticks extend in several stages, so the same pole serves both close-up shots and a view from above. The difference is how far they reach when fully extended.
- 85 cm — shorter and easier to carry. Collapsed, it fits in a backpack pocket. Enough for shots on the move, cycling, walking and filming in company.
- 114 cm — gives a noticeably higher angle, so the footage looks more like an aerial shot. The better choice for skiing, sport and wide scenes, where the camera needs to go above your head and your surroundings.
If this is your first stick and you do not know yet what you will film most, 114 cm is the more versatile one — it can always be shortened, while a shorter stick cannot be made longer.

Which cameras it works with
The thread is a standard 1/4 inch — the same one tripods use. So the stick takes Insta360 X series cameras directly, and the GO series with the right mount.
Because of that same thread the stick physically fits other cameras with a 1/4″ mount as well, but the invisibility applies only to panoramic footage. On an ordinary single-lens camera the stick shows like any other.
What it gives you in practice
- An aerial shot without a drone — raise the stick above your head and you get a view from above, with no permits and no battery draining.
- Filming yourself on the move — the camera goes ahead of you and you are in the frame, with no hand in the picture.
- Moving through a space — the stick carries the camera ahead through a doorway, a corridor or a crowd, and in editing you choose where the viewer looks.
What to watch out for
The stick is not a tripod and is not made to stand on its own — mounts and clamps are for that. It is likewise not a vehicle mount; for a motorcycle and a bike you want the U-bolt and the adhesive mount, which handle vibration.
Mounts and cases
A mount answers one question: where the camera sits
A camera held in the hand gives one kind of footage. The real thing — from your point of view, from a vehicle, from the water — only comes when the camera sits somewhere a hand cannot hold it. That is why mounts are the most common first accessory bought with an Insta360 camera.
All four options on offer cover different surfaces, so you choose by what the camera attaches to, not by price.

U-bolt mount for a motorcycle
The Insta360 Motorcycle U-Bolt Mount clamps around tubing — the handlebar, a mirror stem or the frame — and holds the camera firmly on a moving vehicle.
A metal U-bolt with screws handles vibration better than adhesive mounts, so it is the choice for longer rides and for anything that rattles. It takes Insta360 cameras through the standard adapter.
A clamp for everything else
The Insta360 Crab Clamp has a strong grip and grabs the edge of a desk, a bar, a branch or a bike frame — where a tripod does not fit or has nowhere to stand.
The head rotates and adjusts, so you set the angle without moving the clamp itself. The thread is a standard 1/4 inch, so it takes most other devices with the same thread, not only Insta360 cameras.

Flexible adhesive mount for a helmet
A flat adhesive mount does not sit properly on a helmet, a fuel tank or a board — the surface is curved, so the adhesive only holds in part.
The Insta360 Flexible Adhesive Mount has a flexible base that follows the shape of the surface, so the adhesive makes contact across its full width and holds through vibration. It works with Insta360 cameras through the standard adapter.
Diving case — down to 60 metres
The Invisible Dive Case Pro is not a mount but protection, though it belongs to the same story: with it an X series camera works down to 60 metres, instead of the 15 to 20 metres it handles on its own.
Two things set it apart from an ordinary waterproof case. First, its shape is built to vanish from panoramic footage, just like the invisible stick — what stays in the frame is only the scene underwater. Second, its optics correct the distortion water introduces, so the seam between the two frames stays clean at depth too.

The 1/4″ thread — what fits what
Most of these accessories use a standard 1/4-inch thread, the same as tripods. That means they combine with each other: the clamp can hold the invisible stick, and the adhesive mount takes the same adapter as the U-bolt.
In practice, one set of mounts covers the motorcycle, the bike, the helmet and the desk — only the part touching the surface changes.

Frequently asked questions
Does the stick really not show?
Yes, in panoramic footage. The stick falls along the seam between the two frames, in the blind spot between the lenses, so the camera has nothing to catch it with. On an ordinary single-lens camera it shows like any other stick.
Which one should I take if it is my first?
114 cm. It can always be shortened, while a shorter stick cannot be made longer. 85 cm makes sense if fitting into a backpack pocket is your priority.
Does it work with a GO camera?
It does, with the right mount. The thread is a standard 1/4 inch, the same as on tripods.
Can the stick stand on its own?

Can it go on a motorcycle or a bike?

Does the stick affect footage quality?
Not the image, but it does affect steadiness. A fully extended stick sways more, so stabilisation has to work harder. For a calmer shot, extend it only as far as you need.
Does the adhesive mount hold on a helmet?
It does, if it is the flexible one. A flat mount on a curved surface makes contact only in part and the adhesive gives way. A flexible base follows the shape, so the adhesive holds across its full width.
Why a U-bolt and not adhesive on a motorcycle?
Because of vibration. A metal bolt-on clamp handles it better than an adhesive mount, which makes it the safer choice for longer rides.
Does the clamp take other cameras too?
It does. The thread is a standard 1/4 inch, the same as on tripods, so the clamp works with most other devices, not only with Insta360 cameras.
Do I need a case for swimming in a pool or the sea?
Usually not — the X6 handles 20 metres on its own, the X5 15. The case is for diving deeper than that, and it also corrects the distortion water introduces into the image.
Does the case show in the footage?
No. Its shape is built to vanish from the panoramic frame, just like the invisible stick.
Can the mounts be combined?
